Events & Adventures

One of the best parts of what I do is getting the chance to step away from the desk and connect with people in real life. Author events, book readings, cultural celebrations, community gatherings, interviews, and appearances give me the opportunity to meet families, talk with readers, and experience the work beyond the page.

At the same time, my life is busy in ways that go far beyond being an author. Between writing, publishing, motherhood, travel, community work, personal projects, and everyday responsibilities, I have learned to be very intentional about how I spend my time and which events and opportunities I say yes to.

I try to make room for experiences that feel meaningful, whether that means attending a Filipino community event, sharing a story with children, supporting something I care about, traveling somewhere new, or creating a memory with people who matter to me.

As I get older, I also think more about how valuable time really is. I am not getting any younger, and spending time with my son, close family, and friends has become one of my biggest priorities. I still love being active and involved, but I do not want to be so busy that I miss the people and moments that matter most.

This page is where I share the events I attend, the places I go, the people I meet, and the adventures that become part of my life along the way. For me, it is not about filling every day with something to do. It is about choosing experiences wisely, making meaningful memories, and enjoying life with the people I love most.
