World Love Press

World Love Press is an independent children’s publishing imprint founded by children’s book author Mona Liza Santos. It was originally created to serve as a publishing home for her growing collection of books, but it has become something much more meaningful.

World Love Press creates stories that encourage children to love who they are, believe in themselves, understand their feelings, and move through the world with kindness and imagination. The books are centered on themes such as emotional literacy, confidence, resilience, self-worth, family, belonging, cultural identity, and compassion.

At World Love Press, we believe children’s books can do more than entertain. A story can comfort a child, help them understand a difficult emotion, encourage them when they are struggling, or give a parent or teacher an easier way to begin an important conversation.

The goal is to keep these messages simple and relatable. Children do not always need complicated explanations. Sometimes they simply need to hear that their feelings matter, that they are capable, that being different is okay, and that who they are is something to be proud of.

World Love Press also believes children should learn to appreciate their own culture while respecting the cultures, backgrounds, and experiences of others. No matter where a child comes from, every child deserves to feel valued and represented.

Through each book, World Love Press hopes to nurture compassion across generations and create stories children can carry with them as they grow.

Our Mission

The mission of World Love Press is to publish children’s books and educational resources that nurture kindness, self-worth, emotional growth, imagination, resilience, and cultural understanding.

We want to create books that children can enjoy while also giving them lessons they can use in everyday life. The hope is that these stories can help children understand themselves, develop empathy for others, and grow into kind, confident, emotionally aware adults.

1. Emotional Literacy for Every Child

Children experience many emotions before they always know how to explain them. World Love Press creates books and resources that help children recognize their feelings, find words for them, and learn healthy ways to express themselves.

2. Kindness as a Daily Practice

Kindness should not only happen on special occasions. We believe it can become part of the way children speak, act, and treat others every day.

This belief also inspired National Intentional Kindness Day, observed every August 24, which encourages people to make kindness a conscious choice.

3. Confidence, Belonging, and Self-Worth

Children deserve to grow up knowing that they matter. Our books encourage young readers to believe in themselves, appreciate what makes them unique, build resilience, and feel proud of who they are.

4. Stories That Comfort, Empower, and Connect

A children’s book can become much more than a story. It can help a child feel understood, open a conversation between a parent and child, or remind a young reader that they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

World Love Press hopes to create stories that children and families can return to when they need encouragement, reassurance, or connection.

5. Global Understanding and Cultural Pride

World Love Press celebrates culture, identity, and the many different backgrounds that make our world interesting.

Inspired in part by Mona Liza Santos’ Filipino American roots and experiences traveling around the world, the imprint encourages children to feel proud of where they come from while also respecting and learning about people whose cultures may be different from their own.

This belief also connects with Heritage and Heart Day, observed every October 15, which celebrates cultural identity, family traditions, and respect for every race and ethnicity.

6. Purposeful Education and Advocacy

The work of World Love Press does not stop when a book is published. The imprint also hopes to support children and families through educational resources, literacy efforts, community projects, book donations, advocacy, and partnerships with schools and organizations.

As World Love Press grows, the goal is to continue finding meaningful ways to put books and resources into the hands of children who can benefit from them.

What World Love Press Represents

World Love Press represents a simple belief: what children learn about themselves when they are young can stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Children who learn that their feelings matter may become adults who are better able to understand and express their emotions. Children who learn kindness may carry that compassion into the way they treat others. Children who grow up proud of who they are may be less afraid to stand confidently in their identity while respecting someone else’s.

That is why the work is meant to reach beyond one book or one generation.

World Love Press hopes to create stories that parents can share with their children today and that those children may one day remember, carry with them, and perhaps even share with children of their own.
